Marigolds are vibrant, easy-to-grow annuals known for their bright yellow, orange, and red blooms, adding cheerful color to any garden. An interesting characteristic of marigolds is their ability to naturally repel pests such as aphids and mosquitoes, making them a popular companion plant in vegetable gardens. Their long-lasting flowers also attract beneficial insects like bees and butterflies, promoting pollination.

Marigolds typically grow to a height of 6 to 36 inches, depending on the variety, with a spread of 6 to 24 inches. They thrive in full sun, requiring at least 6 hours of direct sunlight for the best blooming results. Marigolds prefer warm conditions and are not frost-tolerant.
