Petunia Dreams is a vibrant, showy plant known for its large, trumpet-shaped flowers in a wide range of colors, including pink, purple, red, white, and blue. This variety is prized for its early blooming and ability to produce abundant flowers throughout the growing season. An interesting characteristic of the Dreams petunia is its excellent weather tolerance, standing up to heat, rain, and wind, making it a durable choice for gardens, containers, and hanging baskets.

In southern Louisiana, Dreams petunias typically grow to a height of 10 to 15 inches with a spread of 12 to 14 inches, forming a bushy, compact shape. They thrive in full sun, requiring at least 6 hours of sunlight per day for optimal blooming. Although petunias prefer warm conditions, they are not frost-tolerant and should be planted after the last frost in spring. In southern Louisiana's mild winters (USDA zones 9-11), they may survive cooler temperatures but will likely need protection or be treated as annuals when temperatures fall below 40°F (4°C).
