Lobelia Riviera is a compact, trailing plant known for its stunning, vivid blue or purple flowers that bloom abundantly in the cooler months. This variety is perfect for adding a pop of color to garden beds, containers, or hanging baskets. An interesting characteristic of the Riviera Lobelia is its early blooming habit, providing vibrant color even in early spring or fall, making it a great choice for cooler weather gardens.

In southern Louisiana, Riviera Lobelia grows to a height of 4 to 6 inches with a spread of 8 to 10 inches. It thrives in partial to full sun, requiring about 4 to 6 hours of sunlight daily. While Riviera Lobelia enjoys cooler temperatures, it can tolerate mild heat but should be protected from frost, as it is not frost-tolerant. Regular watering is essential, as the plant prefers consistently moist, well-drained soil, but take care to avoid waterlogging, which can lead to root rot.
