In southern Louisiana, the Rhapis Palm can grow to a height of 6 to 12 feet with a spread of 4 to 6 feet, creating a dense, bushy appearance. It thrives in partial to full shade and can tolerate mild frost, making it suitable for USDA zones 9-11. This palm prefers consistently moist, well-drained soil, so regular watering is essential, especially during dry periods, but avoid overwatering to prevent root rot.
